EMERGENCY SCHOOL CLOSURE

Sunday 10th March - the main school site at Rowdell Road has flooded due to the recent weather conditions and issues with the local stream and drains. Emergency services and the local authority are on site attending to the emergency.

School will need to close for 2 days for recovery works to take place. The Rowdell Road site will therefore be closed on Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th March. All transport will be cancelled. Further updates on the school closure and when the school will reopen will be provided as soon as possible on this blog.

The Post 16 college site at Carr Road will be open to our Post 16 students however all transport is cancelled and therefore only accesible to independent students unless parents are able to drop them to the Carr Road site themselves.

Staff will be advised by email as to which site they should report duty each day and will be dependent on the recovery operation plan as it unfolds. Please keep checking the emails for regular updates.

UPDATE Sunday 2PM - drainage and recovery works are underway. We hope to only have the school closed for 1 day to pupils on Monday, however we will provide an update on Monday morning to parents, carers and transport. All staff members should report to their usual sites for duty on Monday morning to assist with preparations to re-open the school.
